Welcome to Navaska Thattukada, a delightful cafe nestled in the vibrant heart of Thalassery, Kerala. This charming spot is not just a place to grab a cup of tea; it’s a sensory experience that captures the essence of coastal Kerala, blending traditional flavors with a breathtaking backdrop.

As you step into Navaska Thattukada, the salty air from the adjacent Arabian Sea wraps around you, immersing you in the picturesque setting that defines this gem. Imagine sipping a hot cup of tea while the rhythmic waves crash nearby, creating a soothing soundtrack that enhances your experience. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a bustling day, catch up with friends, or simply escape into the moment.

The menu showcases a selection of local favorites, particularly renowned for its kallummakaya (mussels), which many locals claim to be the best around, with customers like Anirudh Prakash and Sidharth Ranjith attesting to their remarkable flavor. At Navaska, the mussels are expertly prepared, served fresh, and bursting with the rich taste of the sea. Additionally, snacks like koyikkalu and kizhangpori complement your tea, ensuring a satisfying culinary experience that speaks of North Kerala’s unique cuisine.

The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, adorned with plenty of seating options ideal for long chats or simply soaking in the surroundings. As mentioned by Yeswanth S Nambiar, the cafe beautifully merges the sights and sounds of nature with the delight of good company, making each visit feel like a mini-vacation. The bustling space ensures that the snacks are freshly made, flying off the shelves rapidly due to the heavy footfall, as RADUL R DEV points out. This creates an inviting buzz that enhances your visit—there's a tangible energy here that reflects the enthusiasm of both the staff and patrons.

Located conveniently in front of the court complex, Navaska Thattukada is not just a tea shop; it’s a central hub for the local community, welcoming everyone from busy professionals to relaxed families. If you ever find yourself in Thalassery, don’t miss this culinary oasis that promises both flavor and an unforgettable coastal charm.

Navaskka Thattukada, nestled in the heart of Thalassery, just in front of the court complex, is a delightful haven for tea enthusiasts seeking a relaxing evening retreat. This charming spot offers not only a refreshing cup of tea but also a wide array of delectable snacks to indulge in, making it an ideal rendezvous for friends to unwind and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the nearby sea. The tantalizing menu at Navaskka Thattukada features an impressive selection of snacks that never fail to tantalize the taste buds. From the Kallummakayi (mussels) to the Koyikkalu (tapioca fritters) and the Pazhampori (banana fries), there is no shortage of culinary delights to satisfy even the most discerning palate. The offerings extend further with delights like Muttabaji (egg bajji) and many more, ensuring that every visit promises a delightful exploration of flavors. One cannot help but marvel at the efficiency of Navaskka Thattukada's staff as they deftly handle the constant rush of customers. Snacks are sold at a rapid pace, both to those who wish to savor their treats on the premises and to those who prefer the convenience of takeout. The dedicated team works tirelessly to replenish the shelves, ensuring that the patrons never have to wait long for their favorite munchies. Despite its popularity, it is worth noting that Navaskka Thattukada does face a couple of challenges. Firstly, hygiene has been a concern, with the need for improvement in maintaining cleanliness. Secondly, due to its prime location, parking can be quite a hassle. The lack of dedicated parking spaces often forces visitors to find alternative parking arrangements, which can be inconvenient, especially during peak hours.

A good evening tea spot in Thalassery. Infront of court. Place where we can have tea with snacks, chit chat with friends by watching sea. They serve good snacks such as Kallummakayi, koyikkalu, kizhangpori, muttabaji, etc. list goes on. Its a regular tea spot for many people. The snacks are sold super quick because of the crowd and parcels. Simultaneously they make and fill the shelves with snacks. For some its a kind of nostalgic place.
